A pick that feels clever because people call it obscure may be Too Clever, which scores 15, under Schooler. The FAQ defines that tier as the go-to obscure pick that is not actually obscure.

The gem is not guaranteed to be the rarest string in a database. The FAQ says fun is part of that choice.

Aliases exist. A one- or two-letter slip can land on a different accepted name, as in the FAQ’s sea donkey / sea monkey example.

You get one daily dive. The reset is the next New York midnight, not midnight in your local zone unless you are in New York.
